Travelling Ted

March 29th, 2007 by Pam McDowall

This week my son’s nursery - Langside Nursery - sent home Ted and asked us to record his adventures. We were given a book to record it and a camera with strict instructions to limit ourselves to 5 photos. That’s where my problems began - has anyone every tried telling a 4 year-old who knows all about digital camera you can only take 5?! And this is where Bubbleshare became my solution!

We took a grand total of 25 photos but only 23 made the final cut! Bradley told me the story and I ‘wrote’ it for him. Ted wasn’t allowed a voice as he doesn’t speak so he had to have think bubbles instead. Check out Travelling Ted’s adventures with Bradley here. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed creating it. It really made me consider again the fantastic possibilities for creative writing with my classes, particularly the infants. More investigation of this next term, I think.
